Is E-therapy appropriate for everyone?
Not completely. E-therapy is generally not suitable for you if you currently suffer from severe symptoms of a serious mental disorder. Such conditions as Schizophrenia, Dissociative Disorder, and other serious disorders usually require local face-to-face mental health assessment and treatment. E-therapy does not provide assessment, diagnosis or treatment of such serious psychiatric conditions. E-therapy is also not able to respond to crises such as suicidality, child protection, trauma, domestic violence, or sexual assault. If you feel distress to the point of harming yourself or others, you need to tell someone right away. Contact your local crisis line, family doctor, or hospital emergency department immediately. The E-therapy that I offer is specific to anxiety and self-esteem related issues.
